TRAUSCH, Thomas J. (Dubuque, IA, May 7, 1931--Dubuque, IA, December 17, 1997).  Thomas J. and his brother, Arthur Trausch, Jr. were the owners of the [[TRAUSCH BAKING COMPANY]] when it was sold to the G. Heileman Brewing Company in 1976. Thomas J. Trausch had also managed the business in Cedar Rapids for a time before returning to Dubuque in the 1960s. He remained as vice president and general manager of [[METZ BAKING COMPANY]], based in Sioux City, until 1989. Thomas J. Trausch was the son of Arthur Trausch who joined the company in 1914.  The baking company had been established as the John P. Trausch Baking Company in 1907.
