SPAHN, Robert J. (Rev.) (Dubuque, IA-Guttenberg, IA, Sept. 19, 1985). Catholic priest. Spahn, a graduate of [[LORAS COLLEGE]], studied at the University of Innsbruck and Catholic University before his ordination on June 7, 1941. He served as assistant pastor at [[SAINT PATRICK'S CHURCH]] from June 1941 until December 1947.

Other assignments took Spahn to the Iowa State Teachers’ College ( later University of Northern Iowa) where he was chaplain of the student center from 1951 to 1953 and to Cedar Rapids where he supervised the construction of Regis High School and later served as its superintendent. When he retired in July 1980 he was pastor of St. Mary's Church in Strawberry Point, Iowa.
