BRANNON MONUMENT COMPANY. Founded in 1926 by Henry Kies, the company was originally called the HENRY KIES MONUMENT COMPANY. Vince and Mary Lou Brannon purchased the business in 1961. The company was briefly called KIES-BRANNON MONUMENTS before becoming Brannon Monument Company. Michael Brannon, their son, joined the family business in 1991.
In 1993 Michael purchased the business and his wife, Stasia, joined him in the company later that year.
Brannon Monument was listed in the Dubuque City Directory at 2448 Central Avenue from 1966 to 2012.
