SIGMAN, Allan. (Dubuque, IA,Oct. 17, 1897--Dubuque, IA, Apr. 24, 1986). President, Union Hoermann Press. In 1922 Sigman served as secretary and assistant to Dubuque's first city manager, Ossian E. CARR. Sigman later worked as acting city manager until a new manager was hired.
Associated with Union Printing Company in 1937, Sigman rose to the presidency by 1942. Union Printing merged with Hoermann Press in 1970 to form UNION HOERMANN PRESS. Sigman was succeeded by his son, Jim Sigman.
