TREDWAY, Harry Ennis. (Dubuque, IA, June 30, 1861-Florlssant, MO, Nov. 12,1944).President, John Ernsdorff Iron Company. Tredway began business in association with his father, [[TREDWAY, Alfred|Alfred TREDWAY]], and his brothers in the firm of A. Tredway and Company Hardware Company. He became president of the company in 1902.

For eleven years he was a traveling salesman for the firm, but upon its reorganization and incorporation in 1889 he was elected secretary. He became president of the company in 1902.  


Tredway also served as vice-president of the Metz Manufacturing Company and president of the Dubuque Shippers' Association. Active in the community, Tredway was member of the board of education and served as its president. He was a charter member and president of the [[DUBUQUE COMMERCIAL CLUB]]. He was also a charter member and president of the [[DUBUQUE GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB]].
