WEBER PAPER COMPANY. "More Than Just Paper." Weber Paper was formed in 1951 by Albert V. Weber, James L. Weber, and Fred W. ASCHENBRENER. The company moved into the former location of the KEY CITY STEAM CANDY COMPANY at 136 Main Street in 1960.
In 1989 James J. Weber purchased controlling interest from his aunt Anna Mae Weber Aschenbrener Genszler. The company in 1991 served an estimated 5,000 customers within seventy-five miles of Dubuque and remained a family-owned wholesale operation.
