WEBER PAPER COMPANY. "More Than Just Paper." Weber Paper was formed in 1951 by Albert V. Weber, James L. Weber, and Frederic W. ASCHENBRENER and located at 136 Main Street. In 1937 it relocated to 137 Main, the former location of the KEY CITY STEAM CANDY COMPANY.

In 1989, James J. Weber acquired controlling interest in Weber Paper Co. from Annamae Weber Aschenbrener GENSZLER. The company flourished throughout the late twentieth century, adding customers and product lines, while perfecting distribution and customer service.

In 1995, Weber Paper Co. acquired Waterloo Paper Co. which today operates as Weber Paper Co. from a 32,500-sq-ft warehouse in Cedar Falls, Iowa. After 45 years in downtown Dubuque, in 1996 the company built a larger, state-of-the-art facility on the city’s west side and moved their operation.

In 2012 Weber Paper Co. employed more than 45 people between its two locations and served approximately 7,500 customers in Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota. In addition to serving traditional markets like printing, janitorial, food service, packaging and industrial, Weber Paper Co. offered many diversified products and services. The company had a large presence in the health care market and was a member of local and national associations such as APIC and ASHES.
