In the community, Clemens was a past president of the Dubuque Kiwanis Club. He served on the board of the Dubuque Chamber of Commerce for three years and was a member of the [[DUBUQUE SHOOTING SOCIETY]] and the [[DUBUQUE TRAVELING AND BUSINESS MEN'S ASSOCIATION]].  
In the community, Clemens was a past president of the Dubuque Kiwanis Club. He served on the board of the Dubuque Chamber of Commerce for three years and was a member of the [[DUBUQUE SHOOTING SOCIETY]] and the [[DUBUQUE TRAVELING AND BUSINESS MEN'S ASSOCIATION]].
