DUBUQUELAND WOMEN'S BOWLING ASSOCIATION. The Dubuque-Dyersville Women's Bowling Association was formed during the 1937-1938 season with sixty charter members. The hospitality committee of the organization successfully brought the 1940 state tournament to Dubuque. (1) | |||
The group changed its name at the 14th annual meeting on March 5, 1951. Officers elected were Miss Evelyn Oneyear, president; Mrs. Winnie Thomas, first vice-president; Jane Herman and Elsie Brueckner, honorary vice-presidents; [[DALZELL, Mary|Mary DALZELL]], secretary; and Lora Kaufman, treasurer. The Men's, Women's & youth were separate associations in the USBC. They merged together into one association, the Dubuque Area USBC on 06/15/2018. Instead of having triple the equipment, expense and people, the organizations had one board of 16 people to take care of business. (3) | |||
