SAGEVILLE INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT. Established in the southeastern art of Peru Township, the school sat along Herber Road just north of the Little Maquoketa River.  Today much of land occupied by the original district is owned by the [[JOHN DEERE DUBUQUE WORKS]].  The district merged with the [[DUBUQUE COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT]] in the 1960 consolidation of independent school districts.
