STEINER AND PARKER. The company of Steiner & Parker was formed in 1877. Partners in the business were J. F. Steiner, a wholesaler in notions, and Thomas W. Parker, head salesman in the notion's department of H. B. GLOVER COMPANY. (1) During a particularly hot spell during June of 1878, the Dubuque Herald reported that the company had distributed 4,000 paper advertising fans around the city. (2)
The 1878-79 and 1880 Dubuque City Directory listed 730 Main.
In 1883 Mr. Steiner retired and Mr. Parker continued the business as a sold proprietor. (3)
