In 1992, Table Mound Elementary School became the first public school in Dubuque to become a business partner with a local business, [[DUBUQUE BANK AND TRUST COMPANY]]. In addition to the bank, Table Mound students learned how [[WILLIAM C. BROWN COMMUNICATIONS INC.]] made textbooks, how checking accounts worked with Dubuque Bank and Trust, information about airplanes from the [[DUBUQUE REGIONAL AIRPORT]], elements of architecture and drafting from the [[DURRANT GROUP]], and working a cash register and counting money from the [[HARDEE'S]] on Twin Valley Drive. The school would offer blood pressure checks to company employees, artwork for the businesses to display, involvement of the business in all school activities, and a drug-awareness program for the business employees. TABLE MOUND ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. Established in 1960 as part of the Table Mound School District. Table Mound School was built as a five-room school for grades kindergarten through eighth. Students from eight one-room schools that had been consolidated by state law were served.
In 1962 the school was annexed by the DUBUQUE COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT. At that time, the building became a kindergarten through sixth grade elementary school. In recent years, Table Mound showed one of the most rapid enrollment increases in the District.
