PALMER, William A. (Genesee County, NY, Dec. 18, 1836-- ). Educated in the public schools of Batavia, New York, Palmer came to Dubuque in 1860 and opened PALMER, WINALL & CO.. He remained active in the business until 1905 when he retired. The company was sold and became BERG & BRIGGS.
