RUMPF, W. H. (Ellfleth, Grandducke of Oldenburg--Weisbaden, Germany, 1911). Rumpf began in the grocery business in Dubuque in 1853 with his company [[W. H. RUMPF]]. In 1882 he became a partner in the firm of [[RUMPF, HOSFORD & FERRING]] and then retired. Rumpf moved to Brooklyn, New York and then Bremen, Germany and finally Weisbaden where he lived with his daughter.

In January 1865 Rumpf formed a partnership with Frank SCHROEDER. In 1882 Rumpf sold out to the firm of RUMPF, HOSFORD & FERRING and then retired. Rumpf moved to Brooklyn, New York and then Bremen, Germany and finally Weisbaden where he lived with his daughter.
