RUMPF, HOSFORD & FERRING. The successor to W. H. RUMPF, the company was located at 193-197 Main Street according to the 1884-1885 and 1886-87 Dubuque City Directory. Officers included Fred A. Rumpf, P. D. Hosford, and John P. FERRING.

In 1890 the company was dissolved with the business continuing as Fred A. Rumpf. (1)

In 1892 F. A. Rumpf, J. P. Ferring and Company and Schroeder and Kleine incorporated under the name of SCHROEDER-KLEINE GROCER COMPANY. (2)
