WULLWEBER, Otto
WULLWEBER, Otto. (Germany, May 27, 1840--before 1907). The son of Christian WULLWEBER, Otto came with his parents to Dubuque. He attended school here and then spent two years in Hamburg, Germany where he studied civil engineering, bridge building, and architecture.
After his return to Dubuque and service in the CIVIL WAR, he entered the furniture business and was the manager of the DUBUQUE CABINET MAKERS' ASSOCIATION for eight years. In 1877, the firm of Wullweber Bros., wholesale dealers in furniture, was established with his brother, Charles, at 835 Main Street.
By 1899 he had moved to Chicago.
