WAVE REACTION. An international firm with outlets on six continents announced in May, 2017 its plan to open a new facility in downtown Dubuque. The company planned to purchase the Hartig Drug corporate building at 703 Main and begin operations on the first floor during the summer.
Wave Reaction specialized in the management of reusable containers used to ship materials between suppliers and manufacturing companies. Although most of the business was done with equipment manufacturers in North America, the company planned to expand overseas soon. The Dubuque facility would be used for research and development operations and as an "incubator" for new projects.
