WARTYBACK. Mussel. Also known as the two-horned pocketbook, winged pimpleback, pimpleback, nodule shell, or winged orb shell, this mussel has a rounded shell with two rows of paired knobs.
Its favorite habitat is large rivers or in the lower sections of medium-sized rivers in sand or fine gravel.
