WALTZ, John J. "Hank." (Dubuque, IA, June 13, 1917--Dubuque, IA, June 22, 1992). Founder and president, WASHINGTON NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION. Waltz, an active member of the Democratic Party, served on the advisory board and board of directors of AQUINAS INSTITUTE OF THEOLOGY, was a founder of the Dubuque Field Archers Association and the Washington Tool Library, and was active in the DUBUQUE BOYS' CLUB where he served as an instructor for many years.

Walz was also a board member and past president of Legal Services of Dubuque County, chairman for two terms of the Dubuque Dock Commission, and served on the Chaplain Schmitt Memorial Project Committee.
