SHERIDAN CANDY COMPANY. Clem Sheridan had been an employee and officer of the WILLIAM LAWTHER COMPANY since 1885. Sheridan purchased the business in 1917. (1) The announcement of the new company name was not made until January 29, 1917. (2)
