SCHRUP, Rosalyn M. (Dubuque, IA--Dubuque, IA, Jan. 28, 1963). The youngest daughter of Nicholas J. SCHRUP, Sr. and his wife Mary, Rosalyn graduated from ST. JOSEPH ACADEMY, attended CLARKE COLLEGE in 1959 and at the time of her death was the only woman ever to receive an honorary doctor of laws degree from LORAS COLLEGE in recognition of her interest in and support of Catholic education in Dubuque.

Schrup was a member of the board of directors of the Dubuque County Chapter of the American Red Cross beginning in 1918. She served as secretary of the chapter from 1948 to 1960. She served as both vice president and as secretary of the Dubuque Circle International Federation of Catholic Alumni. She was also a member of the Third Order of St. Dominic at St. Rose Priory and the Rosary Society of ST. PATRICK'S CATHOLIC CHURCH.
