PLASS, Forrest T.
PLASS, Forrest T. (Mt. Clemens, MI, Aug. 14, 1881--Dubuque, IA, Jan. 8, 1953). In 1901, Plass' professional baseball career began in Ontario, Canada. He later played on teams in the Cotton State League, Central States League and in Yucatan, Mexico. In 1904 and 1905, he played with Memphis, Tennessee and Vicksburg, Mississippi and was the baseball coach at Mississippi A & M in 1906.
Plass came to Dubuque in 1907. The proprietor of the PLASS TOGGERY SHOP at 233 Main St. in Dubuque, he was manager and part owner of Dubuque's baseball club which played in the Three-I League in 1910 and 1914. He then retired as a player and became an umpire.
