Peaslee House. This business was operated by Amos H. PEASLEE. According to the 1857-1858 Dubuque City Directory, the hotel was located on 4th St. between Main and Iowa.

In November, 1865 the Dubuque Herald announced that under the new management of James Sharpe new furniture had been installed throughout the premises. The new name would be the Desoto House. (1)
