NEW ENGLAND SOCIETY. Formed in December 1863 by those with family ties to New England, the New England Society celebrated December 22nd, the day the Pilgrims landed on Plymouth Rock. A festival was held the first year at the JULIEN HOUSE and after a dinner, remarks were made by James LANGWORTHY. Each of the New England states were saluted with music and a few remarks.
