MEYER, Wilfred J. (Dubuque, IA, January 21, 1933--Dubuque, IA, January 22, 2015) The son of Herman and Mary (Burds) Meyer, Wilfred served with the U.S. Army during the KOREAN CONFLICT. He owned and operated MEYER BROTHERS PAINTING for over fifty years.
Wilfred was an avid golfer. One of the highlights of his golf career was in 1981 when he won the Dubuque City County Golf Championship in a sudden death playoff against his son, John.
