MAUER, Herman. (Hanover, Germany, July 24, 1834--Dubuque, IA, Feb. 17, 1914). Mauer came to the United States in 1851 and lived in Chicago, Illinois for two years before settling in Dubuque.
He worked for fifteen years in cabinet-making and upon the establishment of the KEY CITY FURNITURE COMPANY was chosen its president.
