KREPFLE, Edward W. (Dubuque, IA, October 18, 1937--Hilton Head Island, SC, July 30, 2015). The son of Edward and Mary (McKearnan) Krepfle, Edward helped his father with the family-owned fish market, R & R Fishery. He graduated from DUBUQUE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL in 1955. After serving in the Navy, he returned to Dubuque and worked at the JOHN DEERE DUBUQUE WORKS until his retirement in 1991.
He was a founding member of the Dubuque Water Ski Club and served as its president for many years. He was also president of the Iowa Water Ski Association in 1968 and 1969. He raced single motor hydroplanes and was honored as the Top Professional Boat Driver in 1973.
