KIEBEL, Floy D. (Oklahoma City, OK, October 29, 1929--Dubuque, IA, Jan. 5, 2014). Floy was the daughter of Floyd and Beatrice (Holderman) Hubbard. She was raised by her mother and Ed Stroupe and graduated from DUBUQUE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL in 1947. On June 10,1950, she married Melvin Kiebel.

Floy was an active competitive swimmer and held the 50-54 age group record for Iowa in the 50 meter freestyle. She was a long time swim instructor at the YM/YWCA and held swimming summer camps for the disabled. She was active with the Dubuque Red Cross and served on their board of directors for many years.
