Jackson, Alan C. (Dubuque, IA, Mar. 25, 1939--Bellevue, IA, Feb. 1, 2001). Jackson was a steeplejack most of his life and worked on many churches in the tri-state area. He began working with his father at JACKSON TUCK POINTING COMPANY INC. and later became co-owner of the company with his brother, Fred. He then established and later retired from Alan Jackson Tuckpointing.
Jackson had a special interest in woodworking. Some examples of his work can be found in the railing and woodwork in the DUBUQUE COUNTY COURTHOUSE. He also handcrafted the reconstruction of the wooden wheels of the FOURTH STREET ELEVATOR.
