HUGHES, Herbert L. (Minneapolis, MN, Dec. 6, 1917--Dubuque, IA, Sept. 11, 1989). A grandson of Frank BERTSCH, the founder of FLEXSTEEL INDUSTRIES, INC., Hughes provided the company with financial guidance. He rose in the company to become senior vice-president and secretary.
He was a member of the DUBUQUE GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB and the 990 Club of the DUBUQUE SHOOTING SOCIETY.
