HODNETT, Charles. (Dubuque, IA, June 1860-- ). Hodnett debuted on May 3, 1883 and went 14-4 with a 1.88 ERA in his 18 games in the majors. He pitched in both the Union Association and the American Association. His second team, the 1884 St. Louis Maroons, won the UA pennant. In 1883, his ERA was lowest on the staff, while in 1884 his ERA was a bit higher than the staff average. His last game was July 3, 1884.
