HILLDALE DAIRY. Founded in 1933, Hilldale Dairy was featured in the February 1949 issue of "Pure-Pake News," a publication dedicated to advances in processing and packaging food products. Don Mueller and Cletus Freiburger, co-owners of the company, reported their business doubled the first year after they pioneered the concept locally of packaging milk in paper containers. (1)

Hilldale Dairy was located from 1955 to 1974 at 3595 Jackson.

The 1983 Dubuque City Directory listed 3510 Central. ---
