HEBREW PROGRESSIVE LITERARY ASSOCIATION. Founded sometime before 1918, the organization led by Mr. Gold and A. Aaronson, in a concluding act on January 8, 1918 presented a collection of 187 volumes to the CARNEGIE-STOUT PUBLIC LIBRARY. The gift consisted of Yiddish books and was to be held by the library indefinitely or they would revert to any "Jewish Association providing such association have not less than twenty-five members and be chartered."
