HEALEY, Robert
HEALEY, Robert. (New York, June 1, 1921--Savoy, IL, Apr. 16, 2004 ). Healey received a bachelor's degree from Princeton University, master of fine arts from Yale Drama School, and a Ph.D from Yale Divinity School. He was a professor of church history at the UNIVERSITY OF DUBUQUE THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY for thirty-five years and was the first person from Dubuque to be named Iowa's Handicapped Person of the Year (1978).
In addition to his teaching duties, Healey authored two plays, two books, twenty-five magazine articles, and many book reviews. One of his articles was about Arthur C. Cochrane, a pioneer of the ecumenical movement and one of the first Protestants to be invited to the Vatican. The article, "Arthur Cochrane and the Church Confessing," was published in the Scottish Journal of Theology in 1996.
