GAVIN, Vernon "Bud"
GAVIN, Vernon "Bud" ( ). Moving to Dubuque in 1946, Gavin went to work for the FARLEY AND LOETSCHER MANUFACTURING COMPANY and joined Laborers Local 659. For many years, he served as president of the Dubuque Building and Construction Trades Council. He was a credentials chairman for theh Iowa State Building and Construction Trades and served on the Dubuque Planning and Zoning Commission. In 2002 he was the first living inductee in the DUBUQUE AREA LABOR HALL OF FAME.
