GALLOGLY, William. (Burley, ID, June 17, 1913--Dubuque, IA, Jan. 6, 1977). Gallogly, the principal partner in the firm of SPENSLEY, GALLOGLY AND BROWN, came to Dubuque in 1937.
Affiliated with the American Institute of Property and Liability Underwriters, Gallogly was a member of the Business Advisory Committee of the DUBUQUE VISITING NURSE ASSOCIATION and served as chairperson of the Visiting Nurse fund drive. Under his chairmanship, a fund drive was able to raise sufficient money to allow the VNA to purchase a site for their organization at 412 Loras. He was also a board member of the Dubuque Lions Club (1941), Dubuque Boy Scout Council; Dubuque District finance chairman (1955) of the Northeast Iowa Council, Boy Scouts of America; business advisory board of the GIRL SCOUTS; and a member of the National Woodcarvers Association of America.
