FLYNN OIL COMPANY. In 1942 Flynn Oil was designated as a tire mileage inspection site. Motorists were required to have their tires checked every two months by an inspector who noted tire conditions and authorized recapping or repairs. Tire mileage inspectors were not to be confused with tire inspectors whose job was to authorize new tires to those eligible to receive them. (1)
