Farley, Michael J. (Dubuque, IA, 1850--Chicago, IL, Nov. 14, 1923). Schooled in the printer's trade, Farley worked for the Times-Journal for thirty years. In 1885, he sold his interest in the paper to Christian A. Smith and moved to Chicago where he was involved in a large printing company.
