DUBUQUE SECURITIES COMPANY
DUBUQUE SECURITY COMPANY. The Dubuque Securities Company filed articles of incorporation in Dubuque on December 17, 1919. Described as the first of its kind in Dubuque and northeastern Iowa, the company handled mortgages and securities, underwrote bond and stock issues or corporations, financed and developed corporations, and generally conducted a security loan investment, real estate and financial business. No banking activities were planned.
The officers of the company included M. D. Cooney, president; [[SPAHN, Charles Joseph, Sr.|Charles Joseph SPAHN, Sr., vice-president; M. J. McCullough, secretary; and Charles Joseph SCHRUP, treasurer. (1)
The 1929 through 1939 Dubuque City Directory listed the 7th floor of the BANK AND INSURANCE BUILDING.
The 1942 through 1957 Dubuque City Directory listed the 9th floor of the Roshek Building.
