DUBUQUE DRAMATIC ASSOCIATION
DUBUQUE DRAMATIC ASSOCIATION. On November 12, 1872 the following announcement appeared in the Dubuque Herald:
Dubuque Dramatic Assocation--This association will meet on the evening of Wednesday, November 13th in the Round Table Room of the Facade. All those who know of themselves to have been elected members whether or not officially notified of such are requested to be present. (1)
In 1897 the Association assisted by the DUBUQUE ZITHER CLUB performed at TURNER HALL. They were raising money to meet the offer of Abraham SLIMMER to fund construction of a a hospital in Dubuque. (2)
In 1926 the group traveled to Elizabeth, Illinois to present "America on Guard" at the Bishop Opera House. (3)
