DUBUQUE CAMERA CLUB. Organized around 1947, the club members' main activity was competing in contests sponsored by the North Central Camera Club Council, a midwestern group, and the Photographic Society of America. Several of the members were professional photographers who sold photographs to magazines or prints at craft shows.

Meetings of the group were held on the first and third Wednesday at a member's home to view slides of others' work.

The 1968 Dubuque City Directory listed 125 W. 9th.
