DUBUQUE BOWLING COUNCIL
DUBUQUE BOWLING COUNCIL. Formed in 1976, the Dubuque Bowling Council was formed to coordinate bowling activities between the men's and women's associations, local bowling proprietors, bowling clubs, and sponsors of tournaments.
The board of directors and the organizations they represented included Carol Boyes (Dubuqueland Woman's Bowling Association), Lou Coleman (DWBA), Donna Galliart (Dubuque Junior Bowling Association, George Henderson (Fisher Lanes), Charlie Kutsch (700 Club), Bill Paar (Dubuque Bowling Association), Bud Spiegelhalter (Dubuque Lanes), Ray Syke (Creslands) Jim Vogt (Riverside Bowl), and Jim Wolf (DBA).
The first official act of the group was having a tournament schedule card prepared. These cards would be available to each man, woman and junior bowling in a sanctioned league in the Dubuque Bowling Association.
