DUBRAKS, Joseph
DUBRAKS, Joseph. (Wisconsin, 1857--Unknown). Dubracks came with his parents to Dubuque in 1860. He was educated in the public schools and then served an apprenticeship as a cabinet maker. When this was finished, he went to work for the KEY CITY FURNITURE COMPANY. When his health failed, he quit to work four years as a carpenter.
In 1887 he opened his own furniture business. Factories and warehouses were constructed in 1893 with the addition of ten employees to handle the business. His orders came from within one hundred miles of Dubuque.
