DIMENSIONAL BREWING COMPANY. The third brewery to open in downtown Dubuque since 2013, Dimension Brewing Company officials announced their intention in January, 2018 of opening a brewing company and taproom by Thanksgiving. Those involved in the business and their responsibilities were Dubuque residents included Tom Rauen, partner; Joe Specht and Grant Wulf, home brewers; Jacob Walleser and Kip Bontemps, brewery development and partnerships. The brewery was opened in the building formerly used by ATLAST FLUID POWER COMPANY which stopped operating after it was sold in 2017. A brewing system capable of producing 1,000 barrels annually was to be installed. Products would include IPAs, sours and stouts, and experimental brews. (2)

Tourism officials saw the announcement as a positive in attracting craft beer fans to Dubuque with its wealth of breweries. In June, 2019 the company, located at 67 Main Street, was named "Most Promising New Business" by the DUBUQUE AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE. (3)
