DEMING, Margaret
DEMING, Margaret. (Lennox, IA--Dubuque, IA, Jan. 4, 1972). Deming organized the first Catholic Girl Scout Troop in Dubuque. With her late husband, Dr. Louis Deming, she founded the Deming Camp at Swiss Valley where camping facilities were provided for Dubuque GIRL SCOUTS.
Deming served as national lecturer and regent of the Catholic Daughters of America and held the office of president of the Sherman Circle for five terms. She held board membership of the Columbia Museum and, as a graduate of the Palmer College of Chiropractic at Davenport, belonged to the Iowa Chiropractic Society.
