CUSHING, Harry. (Dubuque, IA, Nov. 5, 1889--Chicago, IL, Mar. 23, 1950). The son of James CUSHING, Harry was associated with the DUBUQUE CASKET COMPANY for twenty-six years. He started his own company, the CUSHING CASKET COMPANY, in August 1945 and operated it until his death.

Active in the Masonic Lodge, he was a past monarch of the Dubuque Oxus Grotto, past watchman of the shepherd of the Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, and at the time of his death was a worthy patron of the Julien Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
