CATHOLIC ORDER OF FORESTERS' BAND
CATHOLIC ORDER OF FORESTERS' BAND. Performing locally as early as 1927, the band in its blue-gray uniforms with crimson capes was under the direction of Otto Thoennes, an associate of the BRUNSWICK MUSIC SHOP. (1)
Organized around 1933 and directed by Edward J. Welu, the band took part in local festivities and was considering trips to Chicago and Milwaukee. (2) The trip to a music festival was made in the fall of 1934 with the proceeds from a C.Y.O. sponsored boxing match, band concert and drill. (3)
