CANFIELD, William Gurnee. (Wichita, KS, May 25, 1915--Dubuque, IA, Jan. 20, 1978). Canfield, the son of William J. CANFIELD, Jr., organized and directed the "Bus" Canfield Dance Orchestra in the mid-1930s. He was later a part-owner of the CANFIELD HOTEL and finally the maintenance superintendent at the Dubuque Health Care Center.
