BRAHM, Earl E.
BRAHM, Earl E. (Dubuque, IA, Feb. 24, 1896--Dubuque, IA, May 20, 1981). Mail carrier. A rural mail carrier from North Buena Vista and Holy Cross for forty-four years before he retired in 1964, Brahm started the job with horses and a wagon. He finished his career driving a 1930 Model A Ford that had traveled over 500,000 miles delivering mail. In that time, he never had an accident and built a reputation for dedication and service above and beyond what the postal regulations expected.
