BOATHOUSES. Once a common part of the riverfront scenery, boathouses sheltered boats. Others gave people a place to relax after work or on the weekends. By the late 1990s only one or two boathouses were still allowed to anchor below the ZEBULON PIKE LOCK AND DAM.
